The other day, my co-worker asked me what vices were. My answer? Online shopping. The addiction started in college, but became full-blown when I started my first job out of school in consulting. Pressed for time and away from home 4 days a week, nothing made me happier than coming home Thursday evenings to an apartment full of packages.

I’ve always been a shoe-lover and a clothes fiend, but bags were never really my thing. However, this spring I am all about the saddle bag. Chic, functional, and the perfect size to fit the necessities, it’s a style every girl on the go should own. If you’re looking to splurge, I love the Chloe Hudson. For more affordable options, see my top 5 below.

  1. Madewell Savannah Saddle Bag
  2. Forever 21 Tasseled Faux Leather Crossbody
  3. Rebecca Minkoff Isobel Bag
  4. Clare V. Luce Bag
  5. Sancia Babylon Saddle Bag

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Statement Sleeves

It’s no secret that I love bell sleeves (as seen here, here, and here). I love them on dresses, rompers, tops – you name it. Part boho-chic, part drama, this sleeve silhouette adds instant spice to any outfit. Here I’m a wearing a top that has managed to combine two of my favorite trends: bell sleeves and off-the-shoulder. I kept the rest of my outfit with black shorts, although I think a breezy maxi skirt + belt combination would be cute as well. As you may have noticed, I’ve been wearing this belt and these boots on repeat – I love having simple go-to pieces that work with practically any outfit.

If you’re not sure about a crop top, why not try a blouse, a dress, or even a sweater? Statement sleeves are likely to be here to stay for several seasons. Speaking of seasons, I definitely got a dose of them during my most recent visit to SF (where these photos were taken!). As much as I love living in LA, it feels so good to get out of the city sometimes. SF is a quick and easy trip from Southern California, and has so much to offer!

See my favorite bell sleeve styles I’m lusting after below – what other details are you obsessing over this season? Do you love or hate the statement sleeves trend?

Classic Bomber Jacket

Bomber jackets have been everywhere for some time now, and I’m not mad about it. When it comes to evaluating trends, I always make a judgement call on whether to spend or save. With bomber jackets, there are so many super cute options that are extremely reasonable on the market, I didn’t feel the need to splurge. This jacket is from Missguided and affordable given how versatile it is. I ordered a size 8 but easily could have gotten a 4 or 6. That’s probably the only downside to shopping UK and Australian labels – you’ll have to go up several sizes…

What I love about bomber jackets is how you can dress them up or down in so many ways. Think Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid. Here I’m wearing a more classic, military-inspired bomber jacket – I love wearing this piece to and from the gym and out at night as a replacement to my usual leather jacket. If you’re feeling more daring, why not try a printed version? Surprisingly effortless, this jacket has been one of my staples through the winter and into the spring, and I don’t see myself putting it away anytime soon.

I’d love to see how you style your bomber jackets! Is this a trend you’ve jumped on board with?

Tie-Dye

Back at it again with another matching set. I couldn’t resist this tie-dye two piece from Forever 21 – is it just me or have they been killing it lately?? This set was both easy on my bank account and a gentle reminder that summer is coming.  Or is it already here? You can never truly tell in LA. It’s time to put down the ice cream and maybe get myself to a gym.

To be honest, I was really hoping the comeback of crop tops a few years back would be a one season trend. Fast forward to 2016 and midriff baring tops are still going strong. So, I’ve decided to suck it up (literally) and force myself to work out. Sometimes it’s just easier to pay someone else to motivate you, this is where overpriced fitness classes come in… let’s be accountable together, ok? ; )

Ab worries aside, this set has all the components to make a great outfit – an adjustable open back, flirty double slits in the front of the skirt, and a fun print that brings me back to my summer camp days. I took these photos during my quick trip to SF and I have to say, the beaches in the Bay Area are gorgeous in their own way, albeit slightly chillier than the ones in SoCal. Needless to say, I’ll be prancing around all season in my two piece sets.

As always, thanks for stopping by, and feel free to drop a note – I’d love to hear from you.

Walking on a Dream

Peasant dresses are having a moment this season. The walking on a dream maxi dress is the epitome of free-spirit, boho-chic style, the peasant dress is one of those trends that seems to come and go every few years. Today, this 70’s style has taken on a modern twist. I’m loving the Isabel Marant vibes everywhere from Forever 21 to Barney’s.

This Walking on a dream maxi dress by Spell Designs is the stuff dreams are made of. I’m loving this Aussie-based brand’s effortlessly perfect boho pieces. I’ve fully embraced my inner gypsy princess and plan on running through open fields and on the beach in this dress all summer long.

Unfortunately, this dress is sold out everywhere – Spell’s latest collections have been on fire. I’ve linked my favorite peasant dresses of all lengths below. You can also take a look at the dresses on this post on pattern plan. What are your thoughts on peasant and maxi dresses – man repelling or boho summer staple? Happy Shopping!
